Instructions to Compose a Ringtone
The following instructions explain how to use the programs after you have successfully downloaded them.

Use your phone's 12 keys to compose a ringtone Each key corresponds with a letter for music-tone. That's: c=[1] d=[2] e=[3] f=[4] g=[5] a=[6] b=[7] Press the appropriate key to make a note sound shorter [8]-key or longer [9]-key The possibilities are: (shortest) 32 - 16 - 8 - 4 - 2 - 1 (longest) To change octaves one higher, press the [* +]-key If you press this key while in the 3rd octave, it changes to the 1st To add a pause between two notes, press the [0]-key You can use the [8]-key and [9]-key to make the pause shorter or longer To use a higher sound (#), use the [# ^]-key A #-symbol appears in the note and your note sounds little higher To make a tone sounds longer with short pause, press the tone-key and hold For example, you want a "C" tone with this, press the [1]-key and hold, until 4.c appears Examples: You want to input 4e1, then press [3]-key* You want to input 4e3, then press [3]-key* and press the [* +]-key* twice You want to input 4.2, then press [3]-key* and hold, then press the [* +]-key* once You want to input 16g1, then press [5]-key* and press the [8]-key* twice You want to input 2- (pause 2), then press [0]-key and press the [9]-key once *you may need to use the [8]-key and [9]-key to adjust the length of each tone

This program convert RTTTL (Ringing Tone Text Transfer Language) file in 3210 Nokia format. (3210, 8210 models) There are two ways to use this program. With Method 1 you can select a file to load and convert, while Method 2 allows you to type or paste the Nokring RTTTL text from another web page straight in to convert. | Limitations |
The Nokia 3210 is more limited on ring tone features compared to other phones and therefore some tones won't work fully. Be aware of the following: 1. The 3210 has a 50 note/entry capacity whereas other phones tend to have a larger capacity. 2. There are only three octaves not 4 like on some other phones. The program will incorrectly report an octave number of 4 instead of 1, 2 or 3. When this happens you will need to shift the whole tune down or up an octave if possible. |
